I’m Good

Last week Ronovan suggested that perhaps we write about a song that makes us feel WOW for his #BeWow challenge. I knew right away which song I was going to pick, then my computer died an untimely death.
So, I’m a week behind but I’d like to introduce you (if you haven’t already heard it)  to the song “I’m Good” by the Mowglis.
The Mowglis are an alternative rock band out of Southern California. I saw them perform last year, and they just exuded a lovely, relaxed positive vibe.
They even have a mission statement, ” The Mowgli’s goal is to encourage people to come together & practice random acts of kindness.” Check out this video:

To me, the song “I’m Good” speaks to self acceptance, being the best you can be, and being kind.

“It’s been a long time living this way
Worrying what people say
Feeling like I don’t fit in
But I won’t give up
No, I won’t give in

Been looking for something more
What you really looking for
It’s been with you since you were born
Since you were born, yeah

I’m good
I’m good I’m good I’m good
Living life just like I should
Wouldn’t change it if I could
I’m good I’m good I’m good”

It is just a really positive little song, that makes me want to roll the windows down and sing at the top of my lungs!
And the last verse speaks like a challenge to us all:
“I want to see another love revolution
Found a way to be a better person
If we come together like we should
We could all be good”
Couldn’t we??
